Finished and In Progress

I have a little more time these days to sew and I’ve been able to get a few projects done and a couple more well on their way to being done.

This was a swap I did with my online guild. I was asked to select a panel from my overseas partner’s stash and then she made the top. I finally got it quilted and bound.

Another panel swap. This time I sent the panel and my partner made the top. I also added another panel to make the back, but I can’t get the photo to post.

This next was also a swap. A round robin this time. I did the center block and then others added a border. It had been ready to quilt for years. I finally just got it done! I’m not really crazy about it. Something about the colors I chose. I think maybe it reminds me too much of the 80’s craze for geese dressed up in outfits, tole painting, etc. Maybe it’s Cottage Core?

Those were my three finishes—the first of the year, by the way! And then this was the top I’ve been working on for awhile now. The four patches were leader-enders for other projects.

Now I just need to get a back sewn together and I can get it basted.

The Kingfisher quilt also has its skinny border put on, and I think I have found the fabric for the final border. I’m going to be looking at that today.

So, that’s my progress for the summer.
